We attended a meeting of the Plymouth Downtown Merchants Association yesterday morning at the invitation of Brian VanDuyne of Fernbaughs Jewelers. This was a follow-up on our BZA meeting last week.
We really didn’t know what to expect, since there the only negative speaker at the BZA meeting was affiliated with a downtown business. In the end, there was nothing but positive feedback and encouragement. The merchants recognized the need for more downtown residents and they expressed on concerns about the parking. (That was the complaint from the BZA meeting.
We were interested to hear about the various events they had planned; what had been successful and what had not. We picked up a couple of event flyers that I have included below. All and all it was a good meeting and worth the time spent.
